DISTRICT TEAM – VISIT TO ARRAN Print

On Saturday 27th February the District Team will be going to Arran to meet all the leaders on the Island and to see what help and support the District Team can provide the leaders and young people.  The main purpose of the visit is to provide training for the new leaders that have been recruited to restart the Scout Section in Lamlash.

Whilst on the island we will also be looking at covering the following items that the leaders have requested:-

·         Rules etc for Beavers in particular

·         Tips/advice on delivering programmes

·         Prioritising modules

·         Information regarding District Camp

·         Development of Lamlash Scout Troop

·         Complete all the necessary paperwork for the new leaders

I am really pleased to say the two groups on Arran are going from strength to strength and I hope that we can continue to develop Scouting on Arran.

If any other group would like the District Team to come and provide training / program support or anything else then please do not hesitate to contact any member of the District Team and let them know your requirements.

Hopefully the day will be a great success for both the district team and the leaders from Arran
