Training events

Hello everyone.

Scottish Headquarters will be hosting two Duke of Edinburgh Award training days in October this year at Fordell Firs in the Conference room.  This training is targeted at any adults within Scouting who are involved or would like to be involved in the running of the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme as part of their balanced programme.

The DofE Expedition Assessor training will be run on Saturday 9^th October and is compulsory for anyone wishing to become a DofE Expedition Assessor.  The Introduction to the DofE Award training will be held on Sunday 10^th October is for anyone wishing to get involved in the scheme and who is looking for more information.  This course is not compulsory but does give a good base from which to launch the award in your local Unit.

Each course lasts all day and tea and coffee will be provided, there will be a small fee of £5.00 per day for lunch.  Camping at Fordell Firs is available to anyone wishing to stay for the weekend at a cost of £3.00 per night.  Please note that if you do camp this will be on a self catering basis.
