Saltcoats, Ardrossan and Stevenston Explorer Scout Unit.
The SAS Unit has vacancies at present. Any person aged between 14 and 18 years of age can join. They meet at Ardrossan Scout Hut in Kilmeny Terrace on a Wednesday night between 1925 and 2115 hours. Any person interested in joining should contact Alastair Dodds Scout Leader (01294 550821)
The unit is starting back early this year due to a packed programme including a beach barbecue, sailing at the Scout Centre at Lochgoilhead, lazer quest, in door games night and go-karting.
The unit recently attended an outward bound weekend at the Scout Centre at Lochgoilhead where they took part in Kayacking, archery, raft building and abseiling activities. That weekend and future events are being sponsored by the Awards for All Lottery Fund.
