Dear All

I would like to say well done to the all the young people that attended the latest district event, the beaver fun day.  A field with almost 70 beavers running about wild, screaming and shouting is some peoples worst nightmare (I plead the 5^th amendment).  We were extremely lucky as the weather stayed dry for the beavers and I am sure that all those who came along and supported the event had a great time.  Hopefully next year we will be able to encourage more colonies to come along and let their beavers enjoy the day.

I would like to say thank you to Sylvia Taylor (ADC Beavers) for running the event, and giving the beavers a fun filled day.  Special thanks also goes to some of  the district team (Margaret Fowler, John Hopkins, Iain Carmichael and Lizann Shuttleton) and Dorothy Taylor who also came along and assisted on the day. 

I would like to say a very special thank you to the young leaders (Kevin, Rocky, Hairy and DD) from 19^th Kilwinning for coming early and putting up the 19^th marquee which was very much appreciated and helping out where asked during the event (thanks to the 19th for loaning the marquee to the district for the day).  Thanks also goes to the explorers from the 102^nd for coming along and helping out.

That turned into a bit of an OSCAR speech!!!!
