CUB MINI FIRST AID KIT

Items required per Cub

Empty 35mm film pot (Can be blagged from any photodeveloping shop - Tesco do it for me)

Slip of Paper

2 or 3 assorted plasters

Cotton wool ball

Sachet of salt (Again, blag from Tesco or McDonalds)

Safety pin

2 x 20p coins

INSTRUCTIONS

Place coins in bottom of tub - can be used to make a phone call in emergency

Write name, address, telephone and any medical info (eg allergies or medical conditions) on slip of paper and place around inside wall of tub.

Colour in a green cross on the white sticker and stick around outside of tub.

Place plasters also around inside walls of tub.

Wrap cotton wool ball in clingfilm and put inside tub.

Place all other items, and any others you can think of, inside pot.

This could be a good activity to test your Cubs on their first aid knowledge and what each item could be used for.  Safety pin could be used to make a sling along with neckie, pot could be used to hold water and salt solution for cleaning small cuts or grazes using cotton wool ball etc etc ...

Challenge your cubs to find other useful items that could fit into this mini personal first aid kit.

N.B. This is only a fun/learning activity and should not replace the first aid kits required at all times.
